    Magshift is a GT-style sequential shifter with patented magnetic mechanism. The compact base-unit houses the innovative magnetic shift system. This shift system simulates the feel of an actual gear clicking into place. The result is a sharp, satisfying “clunk” when shifting. Due to the magnetic technology, the MagShift eliminates wear parts. This results in a product that maintains consistent performance over time, even with heavy use (tested for 1 million duty cycles).  
     
    The shifter’s shape is remarkably compact, allowing it to fit into a variety of racing setups without taking up unnecessary space.
     
    If you like the feeling of a larger shifter, MagShift is a great addition for a real-life race experience. It maximizes immersion, with MagShift you can match the controls to the ones used in the car you are driving.  

     

    Adjustment options

    The magnetic shift system is 3-way adjustable. The overall force, upshift and downshift can all be set individually. This allows you to set a firm upshift and soft downshift for example to simulate a specific car or simply because you drive at your best pace.

    Set your preferred peak force anywhere between 4.5 and 11kg. At the firmest setting you’ll be able to simulate the shifter forces as experienced in real race cars.

     

    Mini button box

    Besides the realistic shift feel, MagShift is also a mini button box. Whether you’re rally racing, competing in endurance events, or simulating F1, the buttons can adapt to your specific needs.

    The 3 buttons can be assigned to any available function in your favourite simulator software. Such as activating car systems (e.g., lights, wipers, pit limiter) or engaging secondary functions like handbrakes or launch control. Extra functions can be unlocked when you install Heusinkveld SmartControl software.     The buttons are built with tactile feedback in mind, providing a satisfying “click” when pressed, ensuring reliable operation even under pressure. The location of the buttons is strategically placed, to be easily accessible during racing without interfering with the primary shifting action. Their positioning ensures quick and intuitive operation, reducing the need to reach for controls elsewhere.

     

    Mounting

    Every MagShift comes with a mounting materials and an U-shaped mounting bracket which makes mounting the shifter to your simulator super easy. The U-brackets mounts to your simulator with just 2 bolts, ensuring a narrow profile of the overall installation. The MagShift is then attached to the bracket. When mounted onto aluminium profiles, the MagShift only requires a single profile slot for mounting.

    The mounting bracket allows for several adjustments to fine-tune the position of your MagShift:

    • Yaw adjustment: by rotating the U-bracket relative to the mounting platform.
    • Height adjustment: by choosing any of the 3 horizontal rows of mounting holes in the U-bracket.
    • Tilt adjustment: by choosing any diagonal combination of the mounting holes in the U-bracket.

     

    Electronics

    Opto-electronic sensors are used to detect shifts. This means that there is no wear on electronic components, ensuring reliable operation for years to come.

    The system is plug-and–play, after connecting MagShift via USB you can immediately assign functions in your favorite simulator software.

     

    FAQ

    This product is compatible with the PC / Windows platform (Windows 10 or newer). It cannot be used on consoles such as Xbox or Playstation.
